NURTURING THE CONNECTION

between body & mind

3 hours

£40/person

So many of us are trying to juggle too many things at once and combined with life’s challenges our wellbeing is often compromised leading to symptoms of stress experienced both in our minds and bodies.

Self-nurture and self-care, taking time out, or ‘me’ time, is often viewed negatively and seen as selfish, especially when we may have others to care for both in our personal life or in our working roles.  However, with self-care we improve our resilience and therefore our ability to engage fully in our lives and with those around us.

This 3 hour session provides an opportunity for you to relax and focus on your wellbeing and introduces techniques and practices you can continue to use at home to support relaxation. A simple but effective dream interpretation technique is also introduced to enhance wellbeing by allowing access to some of the messages of the subconscious mind, allowing us understand ourselves more deeply.

Comfortable, tri-fold mats are provided that can be used folded as large meditation floor cushions (zabuton) or unfolded to allow the opportunity to lie down, should you wish.  Meditation cushions are also provided (zafu) as are blankets, pillows and slippers - everything you need for a nurturing experience. (Please wear comfortable clothes you are happy to lie down in.)

A short walk around a picturesque fishing lake will also be included to focus on the benefits of gentle exercise on overall wellbeing and also the benefits of being in the moment.  (Please note if weather conditions are poor then an indoor mindful movement session will take place instead.)

Decaffeinated coffee and tea as well as herbal teas are provided along with an assortment of fruit.

The Studio is on ground level.  It has heating and air-conditioning, a kitchen area and a fully accessible toilet.

You are politely asked to remove outdoor shoes once inside the Studio.  Slippers are provided but please bring a pair of socks with you to wear with the slippers.  Thank you.

Maximum 10 places.
