I'm passionate about wellbeing and have been delivering workshops and wellbeing sessions for several years. I love the interaction and dynamics of working with groups and enjoy bringing humour to my workshops. I also enjoy the nurturing quality of the more meditative-based wellbeing sessions. It's great to empower people to take care of their own wellbeing and a privilege to be alongside someone as they do this.
I have experience delivering several different workshops and wellbeing sessions to a wide range of individuals and also to Fire & Rescue personnel, Prison Officer Association members and Ambulance Service personnel through recent work with the Fire Fighters Charity. I currently work part-time as a Wellness and Behaviour Change Coach for the Fire Fighters Charity delivering wellbeing sessions to Fire & Rescue personnel at Fire Stations and Training Centres across the UK.
In October 2019 I delivered a full day's programme on Mental Health Awareness in Doha, Qatar for ISWAN (International Seafarers' Welfare and Assistance Network).
I am particularly interested in working with businesses to promote staff wellbeing as research is showing the effectiveness, for both employers and employees, of working within a compassionate workplace framework.
I am fully insured and have a current DBS check.
I have a BA in English & History (University of Liverpool), a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (the Lakeland Institute) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Studies in Mindfulness (University of Aberdeen). I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP)
